The purpose of this workshop is to engage participants in learning best practices and strategies for the Fiscal and Program aspects of weatherization contract management. It’s the intent of the workshop to foster an understanding of the importance of coordination between Agency Fiscal and Program management by building an understanding of the unique needs of each function in the management of contracts. Additionally, through collaboration, we want show how an agency can achieve efficiency in administrative functions, while reducing system redundancy in contract information tracking and achieve these goals in compliance with rules and regulations. We’ll cover requirements specific to weatherization contracts and the rules and regulations governing weatherization contracts. We’ll explore ways to achieve those requirements and hear examples of systems other agencies have devised to achieve the requirements (databases, accounting systems etc). Finally, we’ll cover the monitoring process and best ways to prepare for monitoring. We encourage Agency Fiscal, Program Fiscal and Program Managers to attend.

Our Refund Policy:

This policy pertains to all workshops / trainings conducted by the NWTI and the Building Performance Center, except as noted below for the BPI Certification Exams.


1. Cancellations and Refunds will be granted according to the following schedule: For General Public / Non-Associated and Wx Agency-Associated Contractor Attendee Types, as well as NWTI participants:


a. If notice of cancellation is received at least three (3) business days prior to the start date of the course, we will refund 100% of the course fee, less a $10.00 Administrative Processing fee. Administrative Processing fee will be waived if participant reschedules into a different training. An Administrative Processing fee of $10.00 will be applied if participant is registered in one workshop or training and transfers to a different workshop or training MORE THAN ONCE.


b. There are no refunds on or after three (3) business days prior to the start date of the workshop/training.


For Wx Agency Staff Attendee Types:


a. If notice of cancellation is received at least three (3) business days in advance a $10.00 Administrative Processing fee will be billed to your Agency. Administrative Processing fee will be waived if participant reschedules into a different training.


b. On or after three (3) business days prior to the start date of the workshop/training, any cancellations made within this time frame will incur a $25.00 Cancellation fee to be billed to your Agency.


c. A "no-show" fee of $25.00 will be applied if registrant does not contact us regarding cancellation and does not show up to their scheduled workshop/training.


d. An Administrative Processing fee of $10.00 will be applied if participant is registered in one workshop/training and transfers to a different workshop/training MORE THAN ONCE.


2. Building Performance Center reserves the right to cancel any training at any time. A 100% refund will be made when Building Performance Center cancels a workshop/training.


3. Credit card refunds will be processed within three business days of cancellation.

BPI Certification Exam Refund Policy: In the event of cancellation for BPI Exams the following cancellation fees will be deducted from any refund:


** Fifteen (15) calendar days or more prior to exam date:  100% of course fee less a $10.00 Administrative Processing fee

** Fourteen (14) calendar days or more prior to date: 25% of course fees

** Thirteen (13) calendar days to 72 hours prior to date: 50% of course fees

** Less than 72 hours prior to exam date: 75% of course fees

*** Please note: Cancellation circumstances that are beyond the control of the candidate will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
