The C.I.T. one week camp is designed for teens who are enthusiastic about learning the ways of a Wilderness Youth Project Volunteer Mentor experientially. Teens will not be with young children this week, rather they will be participants on a track to prepare them to volunteer later this summer or in the future.
Our week will focus on topics such as: hazards, leading crafts and games, guiding peace making and being of service. Teens will receive First Aid and CPR training and certification during the week.
A one night backpacking trip on Thursday night will give participants the opportunity to practice their new skills during a day of mock scenarios in a true wilderness setting.
Drop-off and Pick-up is at the Mission Rose Garden.
