The committee on Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) workforce needs for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the defense industrial base will convene a two-day public workshop on August 1-2, 2011 on US defense-related workforce needs. The workshop will feature invited expert presentations and discussions. Experts to be invited to participate in the workshop will be drawn from the membership of prior NRC studies and related activities, the public and private sectors, and from academic organizations.
